4th of July BBQ

Our good friends, the Beckers, hosted an awesome BBQ to celebrate Independence Day! They even got a blow-up pool for the backyard that all the kids enjoyed. We had a rubber ducky race, made friendship bracelets, and played in the "human elastics!" Of course there was tons of great food--so much that my two pans of Barefoot Contessa flag cake were hardly touched! Oh well...more leftovers for us! London had a great time in the pool, exept when Russell jumped in and made her cry. We didn't do fireworks that night--Tim had worked until 1am the past two nights, so he was tired. Instead, we rented "Breach" a movie about the worst traitor in US intelligence history. Looking back it wasn't the most patriotic movie, but at least he got caught!

fun pictures! I'm glad you posted them. It was so funny when London cried when Russ jumped in the pool and the best part about it was you were able to capture it! London is adorable as ever. Loved the cake.

Great pictures- I love how well you capture little things (like center pieces and ducks); it's sort of newspaper style but better! The flag cake was fabulous~ you always make delicious treats. Thanks for being a kindred spirit:)

Don't lie, Tim, I know you liked the part where they showed the home-made porn.

Looks like it was a banner fourth. (Whoa, I totally just made an unintentional pun. I'm kitschy that way.)

I just realized you have joined the land of the blogging. Now I can have baby-girl envy from across the country. I love my 2 boys, but there is a serious dearth of pink in our house.

So, like, HI! Drop a sistah a line sometime!
