My neighbor recently gave me photoshop. I've been trying to teach myself how to use it. Here's what took me many late nights to do:
Before: It's really embarrassing how poorly I composed this. The lighting is just wrong. But I liked her pose and expression, so with some major tweaks...

wow - what a difference! We have photoshop but I have no idea how to use it except to crop or lighten/darken a picture. I think I need to learn! You are right - cute expression & pose! Was she playing dress up? Hope all is well!
careful, Jen, you could literally lose your life in the depths of Photoshop (LOL!). Seriously, good before/after example, looks like you are picking up quite a bit of the necessary skills to make quality enhancements. Perhaps print mag development may be in your future (hard work, but can be fun according to a friend of mine who prides herself on being a "Photoshop Pixel Cowgirl" for hire :) ).
