"P" is for puppet

Some friends and I trade-off hosting and teaching "ABC" school for our kids each week. A few weeks ago, it was my turn to teach the letter "P." We read and watched Peter and the Wolf, made popcorn while singing "popcorn popping on the apricot tree", painted scenery for our puppet theater, and performed a puppet show of Peter and the Wolf. I guess it takes a lot of initiative to get over the inertia of planning and executing projects like this, but I'm glad the ABC school gives me the nudge I need to do it. I realized how much fun we all had and it's something I need to do more often!

Two Princes

The title says princes, but these boys are really Kings (in surname, at least)! These are my favorite shots from this shoot I did in December, but neglected to post.

(the above shot reminds me of Wally and the Beaver, no?)

Question:

Answer:

You chase your highly uncooperative almost-three-year-old trying to get some sweet shots while she splashes in puddles playing with her umbrella ...

Then you pile the whole family in the car, get some stuff and lunch at Costco, and schlep yourselves up to the city to check out 826 Valencia Street, the only (gasp!) pirate supply store in San Francisco. You can never have too much Black Beard beard dye and glass eye drops in the medicine cabinet!

He's a keeper.

A sampling of photos I took for my friend's new baby. It was such a privilege to witness the bonding between them during his first week.

Christmas photos, etc. (finally)

To all our loyal fans: we have been MIA. Forgive me. Here's what we've been up to (aside from job searching, applying for MBA programs, and staying afloat with two little darlings...)

At the zoo:
Notice the dead bunny carcass hanging from tigger's mouth:
I can't get enough of this girl!
London was enthralled with the bears; I was enthralled with her wonderment.
Riding the pony from Santa:
Nesting in her new tent:
Grandma Marsha showing Eden her new doll (handmade by grandma):
Papa showing London some art supplies in her stocking:
Christmas morning with Grandma & Grandpa:

I hereby promise to blog more often!
