The girls and I spent a lovely afternoon at the park a week or so ago. This little romper is currently my favorite outfit of Eden's, because it so adequately shows off her chunky little legs as she stumbles around. Those legs are rapidly slimming the more she runs, so I want to enjoy the squishiness as long as I can! Eden is so funny--she's already figured out the "turn yourself around in circles until you're dizzy and then try to walk in a straight line" game and loves to play it!

This was London's first experience with a dandelion. I got to teach her that you make a wish and then blow. It was a moment worth remembering.
I love this picture because it shows the two girls wrapped around my legs, and shows London's thumb with chipping nail polish she asked me to paint for her.

London is my new BFF

London's sitting on the counter while I'm doing my hair. I sigh. "What's wrong?" She asks, concerned.
"I'm just having trouble getting my bangs to look right."
"They're cute," she replies.
"Really?" I say.
"Yeah, they're cute."
"Thanks," I say, sort of surprised at her maturity (that's what I would call it; others may call it something else).
"We're friends," she says.
I look in the mirror and smile.

What's for dinner?
April 29 is a special day for a few reasons:
1. Tim's grandpa was shot down in World War II and taken prisoner.
2. Exactly one year later, again on April 29, he was liberated by General Patton.
3. What day did Tim enter the MTC? April 29
One year before the MTC, Tim spent the spring with his grandpa and worked every day with him in his garden. During that time, learned the law of the harvest literally; on his mission he learned it figuratively. Creamed peas and new potatoes is and was a favorite harvest meal in Tim's family.
The fact that these two men share a common date that marks pivotal events in there lives is worth recognizing. So we did. On April 29, I picked out some garden-fresh (okay, we don't have a garden, but we have a farmer's market!) peas and new potatoes and cooked them up. And it tasted amazing. I couldn't resist photographing the English shell peas and the finished dish...it's worth remembering!

First Trip to the Dentist
Started out like this, but when bff Ella arrived to give her moral support...
London was ready for the exam!

And she passed with flying colors! Must have inherited her mother's strong teeth. Jacobson ladies are still cavity-free. Thanks Dr. Froerer (who, by the way, is an EXCELLENT dentist located in downtown Burlingame)!

Easter

I love Easter for many reasons, one if which is dressing up little girls in cute dresses. I decided to make it a tradition to buy my girls matching dresses for both Easter and Christmas. This year, I found said dresses at Marshalls (!) and couldn't believe how many people asked where I bought them! I said it so many times London started answering for me. Anyway, we had a lovely time on Saturday hunting for eggs in the park. We tried to mitigate the bunny/candy stuff on Sunday and instead focused on the real story of Easter. I have to admit, it was fun to watch London get so excited about the hunt! This was the first year that she actually found the eggs on her own. Eden even found some--it was so cute to watch her try to put them in her basket.
