I attended my 10-year high school reunion over the weekend. Honestly, I'm so glad I went because I got to hang out with some of my very best friends! Even Tim had a great time and was in on all of the Northgate Bronco jokes. Tim said those were the best $130 tacos he's ever had and suggested we get a pro-rated reimbursement for the open bar that we did not partake of.
So here it is, the top ten reasons I'm glad I'm not in high school anymore:
10) I don't have to be in by midnight anymore, even though I'm usually konked out by 10 anyway.
9) I get to make my own assignments.
8) Rooting for BYU is so much more fun than rooting for NHS, where the favorite cheer was "Broncos in the front, let me hear you grunt!"
7) I don't have to worry about finding a partner for the social dance unit in P.E.
6) I don't have homework anymore...just housework
5) I still have the best friends in the world! (Even though they did prank me Saturday morning with a love not from the school nerd--thanks guys)
4) I still don't need a designated driver (unlike this guy)
3) Nobody writes nasty stuff about me in the bathroom stalls (that only happened once and just because her boyfriend liked me better!)
2) I don't have to wear my cheerleading uniform to school every Friday
1) I get to share a room with this guy :)
Feel free to comment with why you're glad you're not in high school anymore...

You look so cute Jen! How fun for you guys to all get together. I agree with all of your reasons, especially the cheer uniform one... I can't believe I wore that thing every Friday! With the nylons too!
Ahhh, High School. Looking back now, it was pretty much a bloodbath. There are too many reasons for me to narrow it down to just a few, for sure!
But just to play along... how about we say my #1 is "When you're almost 30, reading books about obscure European history is Cool. In high school? Not so much."
Jen I am laughing so hard right now! I totally forgot about the friday cheer outfits and the nasty comments in the stall about you. Oh the memories! You make me laugh so hard, and I'm so glad we got to hang out this weekend. I have to agree with the top 10 list. Except I would add I dreaded what to do if I didn't get asked to a H.S. dance, so I'm glad I don't have to worry about that anymore. And I still think you are fooling us with your perfect looking belly. Are you sure it's not a volleyball? Love ya!
So cute!
So, here are my thoughts about why I'm glad I'm not in high school.
1. $7.00 an hour does NOT sound lucrative now.
2. Because at this point, I wouldn't do ANY of my math homework because I would fully realize that I don't need calc or trig.
3. Because I'm not a little tramp and high school girls dress like TROLLUPS now.
4. Hall passes, parents calling in sick, NARCs, class bells, etc.
5. Water aerobics in 4th period.
no more early morning seminary! You look so cute! Loved your outfit! How about my senior ball date? Did I mention that?
"For a good time call Jen", huh? I didn't realize that was you.
Hi Jen! I found your blog from Beth's blog and I'm so glad I did. I am also really glad to not be in high school anymore, but I did have great friends. So glad you girls all got together and went! I've loved reading about what you're up too!! You have a darling family.

Jenny, you look stunning and I love all your costumes! What I miss abou NG is having to run as fast as you can through the doors with Alan "the super nark" waiting to throw you in the tardy tank if you didn't make it in time. Now those were the days!! What were they thinking?? For those who never experienced the tardy tank, you missed out of NG at its best.
Oh, the bathroom stalls- I totally forgot about that. Good times at Maturity High. Some of my fave reasons for not being in high school anymore- now when I get up at 5:30 am, I am being paid to do it. Let's talk about Nicole's crowning moment of high school- having a sad fashion show mishap chronicled for posterity in the Senior year book. And girls, yes, I did start my blog.
Oh, the bathroom stalls. Good times at Maturity High. Funny how I never envied all the cheerleaders having to where nylons every Friday. I am glad I am out of high school because my embarrassing moments saga with Nathan Seable is finally over.
i love the dress! you look like a present! my favorite reason i am glad i am not in high school... i get to read books that i want to read now!!!
Hello,
I am curious..Who is Nicole B. and what were her embarrasing moments with Nathan Seable?
Help jog my memory.
